Recovery
There is usually minimal downtime following Sculptra® treatment. Temporary injection-related effects can include:

Sculptra® contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biodegradable material that stimulates the skin’s natural collagen production.
Once injected into the deeper layers of the skin, Sculptra® gradually encourages new collagen formation. The PLLA is naturally broken down by the body over time, while the newly produced collagen helps provide improved structure, firmness and support to the skin.
Because Sculptra® works with your body’s own regenerative processes, results develop gradually rather than creating an immediate or overfilled appearance.

You may initially notice some fullness immediately following treatment due to temporary swelling. This settles, and the collagen-stimulating process then develops gradually over the following weeks and months.

One of the benefits of Sculptra® is the longevity of the treatment. Results can last for more than two years, although individual results will vary.
